Isaac Asimov’s Foundation is an enduring work of science fiction, gaining a new life in the modern era thanks to an Apple TV series that premiered in 2021. The series was renewed for a fourth season, but that won’t be the only new content for fans of either the books or the show to appreciate.
Foundation: Galactic Frontier is a mobile game based on Foundation, adapting elements from both the original books and the Apple TV version of the story. While a planned PC port of Galactic Frontier hasn’t yet materialized, it’s now been out in full release for a year on mobile, and the anniversary isn’t passing without a celebration.

The official Foundation: Galactic Frontier X account announced the Reunion Among the Stars event this week, encouraging players to jump back into the game with their friends to earn some rewards. Anyone who shares the event on social media can receive Venturous Memory x10 in game, but the requirements to get as much out of the event as possible are a lot more specific.
- No character logged on the account between October 5 and October 18
- Selected character’s Energy Core was at least Level 15
Inviting Returning Traders will earn 5 chests per player, up to a maximum of 25 chests. Returning via an invitation code, meanwhile, will net the Returning Trader 10 chests. Trader Commission quests can then be completed to earn up to 15 more chests.
The Reunion Among the Stars event kicked off on October 21 and is set to run until November 30, so there’s plenty of time to get rewards. That being said, those wanting to get the most out of inviting Returning Traders will likely want to act soon, as finding friends who meet the criteria might be more difficult as the event window progresses.
While it’s poised as an anniversary celebration, Reunion Among the Stars largely feels like a transparent attempt to get players who have fallen off the game to pick it up again. That’s not a bad thing, as it gives continuing players an opportunity to hook some friends back in, but the requirements for what constitutes a Returning Trader could prevent many players from getting anything out of the event.
Thankfully, Reunion Among the Stars isn’t the only anniversary offering for Foundation: Galactic Frontier players. Another X post shares an anniversary gift code along with a note from the FGF Worldbuilding Team thanking players for their support. It also promises continued work to improve the game, acknowledging that the game has not yet “fully done Foundation justice,” thanking the community for its “enthusiasm, questions, and criticism,” and promising that “work is far from finished.”
The mobile gaming landscape can be incredibly competitive, with plenty of titles getting shut down while they still have an active community, but a game based on Foundation certainly has a unique place in the market. Hopefully, Foundation: Galactic Frontier‘s anniversary will be the first of many to come.
