Former Vols selected to 2026 All-Star Futures Game rosters

Two former Tennessee baseball players were selected to play in the 2026 All-Star Futures Game.

Liam Doyle in St. Louis’ organization and Gavin Kilen in San Francisco’s organization were selected to the game’s rosters. The contest will take place on July 12 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

First pitch is slated for noon EDT and will be televised by NBC. The two former Vols will represent the National League in the contest, which was contested in a US-World format until 2019.

Doyle and Kilen played at Tennessee during the 2025 season. Both earned First-Team All-SEC honors, while helping the Vols make their fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament super regional appearance.

Doyle was selected in the first round of the 2025 MLB draft (No. 5 overall) by the Cardinals. He is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the Cardinals’ organization and the No. 22 overall player according for the MLB Pipeline prospects.

Doyle is playing for the Cardinals’ Double-A affiliate Springfield.

Kilen was selected in the first round of the 2025 MLB draft (No. 13 overall) by San Francisco. He is the No. 4 prospect in the Giants’ organization. Kilen is playing for High-A affiliate Eugene.
