A host of new spy-thriller shows have been dominating the streaming charts in recent years, with some of them emerging as critically acclaimed gems. Apple TV has found a platform-defining hit in Slow Horses, which recently concluded its sixth season with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, Peacock delivered the subversive Cold War-era series Ponies, which holds a 94% score on the aggregator website. This year also saw the return of The Agency, a sleek spy series starring Michael Fassbender. Amid the genre’s revival, a classic from the Golden Age of Television is also having a resurgence.
