Football: 2027 3-star LB Linkin Apana commits to TCU

TCU football’s recruiting momentum continues into late June, as the Horned Frogs picked up a commitment from three-star linbacker Linkin Apana on Friday. Apana, who attends Kamehameha Kapalama in Honolulu, Hawaii, becomes the 15th overall recruit and the first linebacker of the 2027 class for the Horned Frogs. The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder ranks as the No. 3 overall player in Hawaii. He chose TCU over Utah, Boise State and more.

Apana totaled 31 tackles in four games during his junior season. Apana was also invited to participate in the Polynesian Bowl, which brings together top high-schoolers from around the country after each season. Apana took an official visit to Fort Worth this past weekend before announcing his commitment on Friday. He holds offers from UNLV, San Jose State, Hawaii and more.
