Florentino Pérez spoke to the media at Madrid’s Eurobuilding Hotel following his victory in the Real Madrid presidential elections, expressing gratitude to club members, highlighting the scale of his mandate, and outlining his ambitions for the years ahead.

The veteran president secured another term after defeating Enrique Riquelme in Sunday’s vote, a result that had been widely anticipated by pre-election polling.

Speaking shortly after the results became official, Pérez thanked the membership for their support and stressed the importance of the democratic process that led to his re-election.

“This is a very happy day for Real Madrid fans. Thank you so much for your support because without the members who voted for us, it wouldn’t have been possible to win these elections. We won at every polling station. We achieved the second-best result in the history of Real Madrid elections. And the results could have been even better because some votes were challenged. We chose not to appeal. We have set an example of transparency and democracy.”
