Final 2026 SEC baseball power rankings

No conference is close to as good as the SEC when it comes to college baseball. The Oklahoma Sooners went on a shocking run to win the 2026 national championship after struggling to win in SEC play.

In fact, Oklahoma went under .500 in SEC games with a 14-16 record (tied for 11th in the SEC). The Sooners got hot at the right time and dominated in the College World Series.

The Sooners became the seventh straight SEC team to take home a national title in baseball after defeating the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels in the national championship series.

Despite winning a national title, Oklahoma did not have close to the best record in the SEC. That honor goes to the Georgia Bulldogs, who won the SEC during the regular season and the SEC Tournament. Georgia finished the season with an impressive 53-14 record, but fell twice to Oklahoma in the College World Series, so we can’t put the Bulldogs over Oklahoma in our final SEC power rankings.

SEC teams dominated the final USA TODAY baseball coaches poll with five SEC teams in the top seven. Ten SEC teams finished the season ranked. Five SEC teams made the College World Series: Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas.
