Few changes to highlight on the LSWA’s Week 5 football poll

There were no changes at the top of any polls in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association statewide football poll after five weeks of play. Karr, Westgate, St. James, Calvary and Ouachita Christian held onto the No. 1 positions with victories.

Jesuit rejoined the Class 5A rankings by replacing West Monroe which fell from the Top 10 following a loss. There were no newcomers in the 3A, 2A or 1A polls, although Logansport held onto the No. 10 spot in Class 1A after a loss to Red River.
