Everything you need to know about the 2026 — and last — Rocket Classic

The 2026 Rocket Classic will be played Thursday, July 30, through Sunday, Aug. 2.

The 2026 Rocket Classic will be played at Detroit Golf Club, the tournament’s host venue since inception in 2019. This year, the last of the Rocket, the club will unveil a $16.1 million course renovation.

Daily grounds passes to the Rocket Classic start at $31.30 (313, get it?), and are available at RocketClassic.com. Four-day packages start as low as $150. Children 15 and younger get in for free with a ticketed adult, and free tickets are available for military and first responders. There are special ticket prices for students. Details at RocketClassic.com.

Parking will be at new sites for 2026 — at Oakland Mall ($35) in Troy and Lawrence Tech ($40) in Southfield, at cost in addition to the tickets. There are shuttles to and from the course. Details at RocketClassic.com.

Yes. ESPN+ and Golf Channel will have broadcast windows throughout the week, and CBS will broadcast the prime-viewership windows on the afternoons and early evenings of Saturday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2.

Aldrich Potgieter, of South Africa, earned his first PGA Tour win, at the age of 20 — and in just his 20th PGA Tour start. He prevailed in a five-hole playoff, beating Max Greyserman on the fifth playoff hole. Chris Kirk was eliminated earlier in the playoff, the third in the Rocket’s history.

Early commitments include Xander Schauffele, set to compete in the Rocket Classic for the first time, as well as past champions Rickie Fowler, Tony Finau and Aldrich Potgieter, 2026 PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai, Cameron Young and YouTube golf star Brad Dalke, among others.
