Everton – Two changes as James Garner and Tyler Dibling come in.

Everton start this season’s League Cup with a trip to Preston North End of the Championship, a side that they are very familiar with over the last couple of decades especially after manager David Moyes, left Deepdale to take over at Goodison Park in 2002.

Moyes caught some flak last year with his approach to the cups, given that is the Toffees’ only chance at smelling any silverware. The stadiun is recognised as being one of the oldest continuously used football stadiums in the world, although the club’s claim that it is the oldest is contested.

The injury situation remains about the same for the Blues with Christian Norgaard and Tim Iroegbunam still out, while James Garner is progressing well but still not ready to start.
