ESPN College GameDay announces guest picker for Notre Dame at BYU

As is the weekly custom with ESPN’s College GameDay, they bring in a guest picker to join the panel and it has been announced who will be making selections this Saturday as Notre Dame faces BYU in Provo, Utah.

Many thought it would be a more current star, but that turned out not to be the case. During The Pat McAfee Show, it was announced that former Cougar star quarterback, and NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young will be on the set to make choose the top games of Week 7. They obviously will pick Notre Dame at BYU, as there are multiple other ranked games this weekend that are of national importance.

Young didn’t get the chance to face the Irish while with the Cougars, as their first meeting was in 1992, almost a decade after he finished up his collegiate career. It will be interesting to see how well he does with his picks, and you’d have to assume that he’ll pick his alma mater to defeat Notre Dame.
