All eyes will be on Erling Haaland as Norway faces England in the World Cup quarterfinals on Saturday, July 11.
Haaland has led Norway into the quarterfinals for the first time in World Cup history, and will now aim to take his side past the Three Lions in Miami.

Erling Haaland is making his World Cup debut in 2026 after years of smashing goal-scoring records across Europe, hoping to take Norway on a deep run its first appearance since 1998. The 25-year-old won three Golden Boot awards as the Premier League’s top scorer in four seasons, including a record 36 goals in 2022-23.
Haaland has scored seven goals in just four games at the 2026 World Cup.
Haaland has scored an incredible 62 goals in 54 caps for Norway, making him the country’s all-time top scorer.
The World Cup becomes a single-elimination tournament once the knockout stage begins. The 32 remaining teams have been placed into a bracket, and the field will halve itself during each ensuing round of the tournament until a winner is crowned.
The lone exception is that the two semifinal losers will play in a third-place game ahead of the World Cup final.
