EPL: ‘He struggled’ – Paul Scholes names Arsenal player Arteta should get rid of

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has named midfielder, Martin Zubimendi as the player Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta should get rid of this summer’s transfer window instead of Myles Lewis-Skelly.

According to Scholes, Zubimendi struggled last season, adding that he prefers Lewis-Skelly in centre midfield to the 27-year-old Spain international.

Speaking on The Overlap’s Fan Debate, the former England international said, “I prefer Myles Lewis-Skelly in centre midfield to Zubimendi.

“I think Zubimendi struggled last year. If there’s one player you are going to get rid of, it will be him .”

Zubimendi joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad in 2025, and his current contract with the Gunners will expire in 2030.
