Elite safety to announce commitment date this week, FSU top finalist

· · 1 min read

Florida State has been on a tremendous roll lately in the 2027 recruiting cycle with seven commitments in the month of June. One of their biggest targets, four-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole, is still uncommitted, but that is set to change very soon.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder will announce the date for his commitment on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET. He will be choosing between the FSU Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs, and Tennessee Volunteers.

All the momentum was with Florida State, with four different predictions in their favor last week. However, Georgia was able to slide in a last-minute official visit over the weekend, which has made things very interesting heading to the finish line.

FSU got excellent news when three-star safety Jemari Foreman shut down his recruitment on Sunday after his official visit. Getting Poole would be a major addition to the safety position in the 2027 class for Florida State, and it would continue their amazing hot streak.
