Eli Junior Kroupi’s agent opens up on Barcelona links: ‘No final decision has been made’

Speculation surrounding Eli Junior Kroupi and Barcelona has gathered pace in recent days, but the young striker’s representative has now addressed the rumours directly. 

The Barcelona news comes after reports suggested the highly-rated forward had emerged as one of the club’s attacking options as they continue to assess the market for a new centre-forward.

With Julian Alvarez still considered Barcelona’s preferred target but a difficult deal to complete, several reports linked the Catalan club with alternative names for both the present and the future. 

Among them was Kroupi, whose impressive rise at Bournemouth has attracted attention from several European clubs.

However, Moussa Sissoko, the player’s agent, has now provided a clearer picture of the situation, insisting there are currently no negotiations between the player and the Blaugrana.

The Eli Junior Kroupi Barcelona transfer rumours also coincided with reports from England claiming Tottenham had positioned themselves to sign the young attacker. 

Those stories suggested the Premier League side had stepped up their pursuit as competition for the striker increased.

Speaking to 365Scores (h/t SPORT), though, Eli Junior Kroupi’s agent dismissed suggestions that either club is currently in talks to sign the player.

Addressing the Barcelona interest in Eli Junior Kroupi claims, the representative made it clear that there has been no contact between the parties, cooling speculation surrounding a possible move to the Camp Nou.

“We are still discussing his future. We’ll see what happens over the next few days; for the time being, no final decision has been made,” he said.

Kroupi’s future still undecided

Although the rumours involving Barcelona and Tottenham have been denied, Eli Junior Kroupi’s future has not yet been settled.

From his agent’s comments, it is understood that the striker continues to evaluate his next step, with his camp still considering different opportunities before reaching a final decision.

Furthermore, those comments also suggest that while there is no concrete progress involving Barcelona today, the player’s situation remains open.
