Eagles waive veteran defensive end Ta’Quon Graham

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles waived defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham on Sunday, ending his bid to earn a reserve role in one of the deepest position groups on the roster. No corresponding addition was immediately announced. Graham’s departure opens a spot on Philadelphia’s training camp roster and could create room for another transaction as practices continue. Graham originally joined the Eagles‘ practice squad in November 2025, three days after the Atlanta Falcons released him. Philadelphia retained him by signing him to a reserve/future contract in March.

A fifth-round selection out of Texas in the 2021 NFL draft, Graham spent his first five seasons with Atlanta. He appeared in 51 regular-season games with 16 starts, recording 88 tackles, 13 quarterback hits, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery, according to the Eagles.

Graham opened the 2025 season on injured reserve with a calf injury. He returned for two games with the Falcons, contributing four tackles and one tackle for loss, before being waived. He did not appear in a game for Philadelphia after joining its practice squad. The 6-foot-4, 294-pound lineman entered camp facing significant competition for a limited number of jobs. Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis have secured long-term contracts as the foundation of the interior defensive line, while Moro Ojomo has developed into an important member of Vic Fangio’s rotation.

Byron Young, Ty Robinson, Gabe Hall and other younger linemen are also competing for snaps and roster positions. Graham needed a strong summer to separate himself from a group that offered Philadelphia more developmental upside.

His release does not necessarily signal another significant move, but Howie Roseman has consistently treated the roster as unfinished. The Eagles can use the opening to address another position, add competition on the defensive line, or accommodate a player returning from an injury list.

For Graham, the move provides time to pursue another opportunity before preseason games begin.
