EA College Football 27 gives Texas fans first look at Manning-Coleman

After months of anticipation, the official College Football 27 trailer was released this week. Some of the clips in the trailer featured the nation’s best players, including Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning and wide receiver Cam Coleman. The talented duo has high expectations for the upcoming season, hoping to lead Texas to a national title. 

Follow his first season as the starter, Manning is looking to take his game to another level. As a sophomore, Manning completed 248 of his 404 passing attempts for 3,163 yards. He also found the end zone 26 times while averaging 7.8 yards per throw. While the New Orleans native impressed through the air, he was also a threat with his legs.

The former top recruit recorded 399 rushing yards on 92 carries. In the trailer, Manning’s throwing ability was on display, but he can make an impact in various ways. That is one reason Coleman has high expectations, as he will now get to play alongside a potential first-round pick in Manning. 

For some, Thursday’s trailer was the first shot of what Coleman will look like in the burnt orange. He joined Texas just a few months ago out of the transfer portal. The Alabama native is coming off a stellar season at Auburn and was one of the top players on the market before committing to Texas.

During the 2025 campaign, Coleman set a new career-high in catches with 56 and receiving yards with 708. While averaging 12.6 yards per reception, he also found the end zone five times. Regardless of the opponent, Coleman found a way to make an impact. The Longhorns hope he can continue to take his game to another level in their scheme. 

Although Coleman and Manning’s appearance in the trailer was brief, it was a glimpse of what fans can expect. With Manning finding Coleman for deep throws, the Longhorns offense should be one of the hardest to plan against in the nation.
