Drew McIntyre Set For Sensational WWE Raw Return (WWE News)

WrestleVotes on Fightful Select has found out from internal WWE sources that one Drew McIntyre seems set for a sensational jump from SmackDown to Raw once he returns to TV. The belief is that Monday’s flagship could use McIntyre’s star power more than Fridays on the blue side.

SmackDown is positively jam-packed with top names right now – the likes of CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Gunther and Finn Bálor are all chasing Sami Zayn’s WWE Title, and they’ve been bolstered by Johnny Gargano as well as some of the other names (Trick Williams, for example) involved in this weekend’s men’s Money In The Bank ladder match.

WrestleVotes/Fightful has heard that WWE’s creative team had some plans in place for Drew as early as August, but there’s been “a change in direction” on that somewhere along the way. McIntyre hasn’t been sitting pretty with his feet up since taking time off post-WrestleMania 42 though.

He’s filmed no less than 3 movies since putting Jacob Fatu over in an ‘Unsanctioned Match’ on the grand stage.

McIntyre might make a little more cinema once he hits Raw. Via socials, the big Scot has shared footage of himself running the ropes in-ring and training hard for his return. He’ll be eager to make a splash, and there’d certainly be nothing stopping him from becoming a major force on Monday nights going forwards into WrestleMania 43 season.

Drew accomplished pretty much everything he wanted to do over on SmackDown anyway, so a change of scenery is a solid idea.
