Draymond Green meets with Hall of Fame center Yao Ming in China

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently linked up with NBA royalty, meeting NBA Hall of Famer Yao Ming during a trip to China. Green isn’t the only Warriors forward to have met Ming, as Jimmy Butler III posted a similar picture with the legendary Chinese center last summer.

An eight-year NBA veteran, Ming made five All-NBA selections and eight All-Star appearances while also earning All-Rookie honors in the 2002-03 season. Ming’s best season came in the 2006-07 campaign, where he averaged 25 points, 9.4 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and 0.4 steals. In just under 500 career NBA contests, Ming holds averages of 19 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.9 blocks.

Unfortunately for the 7’6″ center, his career was cut short due to many foot and ankle injuries. At the time, Ming was playing nearly all-year-round, representing the Chinese national team during NBA offseasons.
