While Eberechi Eze might have only arrived at Arsenal last summer for a reported fee in the region of £60million, there are already serious questions marks over his long-term future in north London.
Drastically failing to find his feet at the Emirates, TEAMtalk are reporting that the former Crystal Palace playmaker already has a real battle on his hands to save his Arsenal career.
Dragged off at half-time during Arsenal’s late 1-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, the 28-year-old has failed to make any real impact with the reigning Premier League champions and has slipped down Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.
Although big-money summer recruit Christos Tzolis might be recovering from a recent muscle injury, the Greek international is widely regarded as Arsenal‘s number one pick on the left side of their attack.
Missing out on Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad and with fans around north London making their frustrations clear, the 25-cap international could find himself at a major career crossroads over the coming months.
Only making a single Premier League start this season, Eze has also remarkably failed to register a sole shot on target during the 2026/27 campaign and there has been mounting speculation that Arteta’s side could be open to cutting their losses.
Likewise, getting just 130 minutes of Premier League action under his belt, TEAMtalk are suggesting that there are serious question marks over Eze’s future at the Emirates and Arteta is struggling to get the best out of the ex-Palace star.
Eberechi Eze is facing a fight to secure his Arsenal future, with frustration growing on both sides and doubts emerging over his ability to establish himself as a regular under Mikel Arteta, @TEAMtalk understands.
