The Miami Dolphins are in a bit of turmoil this season. They have a new head coach in Jeff Hafley. They have a fresh signal-caller in Malik Willis, who they signed to a two-year, $45 million contract in free agency after cutting ties with Tua Tagovailoa.

Now, one NFL analyst isn’t super happy with how the Dolphins are shaping up for the new season. Stacking up to the other NFL teams, he doesn’t see them really having a chance, which is a harsh bit of news, but remember, it’s just his thoughts.

Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports has ranked each NFL team as training camp gets underway. “The NFL’s wild offseason is almost over and the real work is about to begin. And every team has their hopes sky-high as training camp officially begins across the league,” he states in a piece out this week.

He has the Dolphins No. 31 on the tally. Yeah, second to last. That’s not anything to brag about.

The problem? He’s not sure about their quarterback situation. It’s certainly a fair thing to question.

“They might end up striking gold (or at least silver) in QB Malik Willis. But it still could be hard to tell,” he states in the piece. “They didn’t get him a lot of weapons to work with. And the schedule is brutal, too.”

So, the tough schedule combined with not having a great offense around Willis, and the fact Willis is expected to outperform Tagovailoa with the same offense, are reasons to worry about the Dolphins.
