The Dodgers begin their final regular season home series of the year, hosting the San Diego Padres beginning Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.
Center fielder Andy Pages will likely be activated to start on Tuesday, after missing 27 games with a broken left hand.
It’ll be a bullpen game for the Dodgers in the opener, who will start Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Wednesday and likely Tyler Glasnow on Thursday. Roki Sasaki is expected to be available out of the bullpen against the Padres, not as a bulk reliever, but will instead pitch in high-leverage relief, potentially for multiple innings on occasion.
“I trust him,” manager Dave Roberts said of Sasaki in relief on Sunday.
Right-hander Michael King starts on the mound for the Padres on Tuesday.
