Bobby Miller is back with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he’s looking to make an impact on the team, as the 2026 MLB season winds down to its final stretch.

“That’s my job out there. Give the team a chance to win whenever you’re out there… I’ll take any role I can get,” the right-handed pitcher said just before Tuesday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati (h/t SportsNet LA).

Miller was activated off the 60-day injured list by the Dodgers in early September, taking over the spot in the pitching room left by pitcher Kyle Hurt after the latter was optioned to Triple-A. The Dodgers also designated Alek Thomas for assignment to create space on the team’s 40-man roster for Miller.

The 27-year-old Miller pitched in Triple-A amid his stint on the 60-day injured list. In eight appearances for the Triple-A Dodgers affiliate, the Oklahoma City Comets, Miller posted a 6.32 ERA through 15 2/3 innings.

Miller finally made his 2026 season debut for the Dodgers on Sept. 6, appearing out of the bullpen in a 7-5 victory over the Washington Nationals at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. He pitched three innings in that game, allowed just an earned run on a hit, and recorded two walks and two strikeouts, while also earning a win.

Miller had a solid rookie season in the big leagues in 2023, going 11-4 with a 3.76 ERA in 22 starts, but went 2-4 with an 8.52 ERA in 13 starts the following year. In 2025, he appeared in only two games for the Dodgers, as he missed a lot of time due to injury.
