Monday night is a special occasion at Dodger Stadium, as the team is celebrating Filipino heritage with a special jersey giveaway and other special touches.
The festivities begin just after 5 p.m. with Manila Sound, a local LA DJ collective that “highlights Original Pilipino Music, current FilAm artists and celebrates Filipino American History,” the team said on its website.
Shortly thereafter, there will be live karaoke, followed by “multi-generational Philippine folk arts and dance organization” Kayamanan Ng Lahi, then “high-energy cover band” the CRUX RiSing.
On the field, the National Anthem will be performed by Liza Lapira, and comedian Jo Koy will throw out the first pitch and will say the iconic “It’s time for Dodger baseball!”
Fans who purchase the special ticket package will also get a unique jersey to commemorate the occasion.

Monday night is the first of a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays, a series ESPN insider Jeff Passan called the “must-watch” series of the month.
“With the NL looking like the clearly better league this season, the AL’s best team testing its wares against the two-time defending World Series champions makes for a delicious little middle-of-the-summer affair,” Passan wrote.
“…Tampa Bay might not finish the year with the best record in the league. They might not finish June with the best record in the AL East. But this will be a nice test that shows them they can hang with the Dodgers — or that they’ll need more should a rematch come in October.”
Eric Lauer (2-5, 5.47 ERA) will start on the mound for the Dodgers, while the Rays are starting Nick Martinez (6-2, 2.43 ERA).
