FOND DU LAC – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders‘ speed on the bases generated a $5,200 donation for the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac through a partnership with Silica For Your Home.
Silica For Your Home pledged $50 for every stolen base recorded by the Dock Spiders at Herr-Baker Field, according to a community announcement. The team finished with 104 stolen bases at home during the season, producing the donation to the youth-serving organization.
Dock Spiders players stole 163 bases overall, the second-highest total in franchise history. The club record remains 235 stolen bases, set in 2021. The season marked the fourth year of the fundraising program benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders for another season,” Silica For Your Home President Josh Schneider said.
The Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac said the contribution will help support its members and programs.
“What an exciting year on the bases! We continue to be in awe of the athletic abilities of our Dock Spiders players, and the generosity of our donor partner, Silica For Your Home,” Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac Chief Executive Officer Dan Hebel said. “Each of the 104 stolen bases will have a meaningful impact on the well-being of our members. What an investment in the future of our community!”
In addition to the stolen-base initiative, Silica For Your Home partnered with the Dock Spiders on a Caleb Durbin bobblehead giveaway. Durbin played infield for the Dock Spiders in 2020 and 2021 and made his Major League debut with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2025 before being traded to the Boston Red Sox before the season.
The Dock Spiders are preparing for their 11th season in the Northwoods League in 2027.
The team’s home schedule will be announced during the offseason and is expected to include promotional giveaways, special appearances, live music, themed events and recurring game-day specials, according to the announcement.
