Dave Portnoy has jokingly used some classic sports fan logic to arrive at the conclusion that his Michigan Wolverines are better than the dominant Ohio State Buckeyes.
College football season is well underway and there have already been some epic results. The Texas Longhorns’ comeback win against Ohio State was offset by their Saturday collapse against the Oklahoma Sooners. The Buckeyes have gone five games undefeated, while Michigan has looked poor.
The Wolverines started strong, including a win over Oklahoma, but have suffered consecutive one-score losses against Iowa and Minnesota. Every team has had setbacks and triumphs so far, but Dave Portnoy has now used a hilarious formula to prove why Michigan is the best.

Following the Longhorns’ loss, it is safe to say that the 5-1 Ohio State Buckeyes are the team of the moment. Led by Jeremiah Smith’s stellar season so far, their only loss this year has been a narrow one. Michigan, on the other hand, are 3-2 at the moment.
It would be tough to find a fan who thinks that the Wolverines are a better team, but Portnoy has used the oldest trick in the sports fan playbook to make his point in a post on X.
“How’s that OU win look now! Michigan > OU. OU > Texas. Texas > Ohio State. Michigan > Ohio State. Do the math b****! Michigan back in this b****! We better be ranked this week!” he said.
Considering their last two losses, even the Barstool Sports owner likely knows that Michigan is not better than Ohio State in any way. In fact, they are currently 12th in the Big 10, and many other teams have looked like a real threat over them. Nothing wrong with a fan having a little fun, though.
