Stephen A. Smith has sent a stern warning to President Donald Trump about attending game three of the NBA Finals. The 45th and 47th President of the United States made it clear that he was going to be present at the Knick’s first finals appearance since 1999.
However, there has been a serious warning from Smith to not go. Here are the details.
In a public statement, Stephen A. Smith made it clear that he does not intend to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden with President Donald Trump.
“He’s coming to Game 3 of the Finals, and I don’t want him there,” Smith said unprompted on his radio show while discussing the president’s plans to attend Monday night’s Knicks-Spurs matchup.
“It has nothing to do with politics, policy, or anything like that. It has everything to do with him disrupting and contributing at the same time to the chaos that’s going to exist at Madison Square Garden. If it were Barack Obama coming to the Garden, I would say, ‘Stay home.’ Stay at the White House.”
“You don’t understand what Monday is going to be like in New York City,” Smith said. “The subways will never be more packed. Don’t drive your cars in Midtown. It will be a parking lot. There is nothing short of madness that is coming the way of everybody come Monday. You don’t understand. I have been covering sports for over 30 years.
“And I’m telling you right now, come Monday, for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, I expect to see an environment I have never seen in my entire career covering sports.”

An OutKick source familiar with the plans confirmed on Wednesday that Trump will attend Game 3. In response to a question about the Knicks‘ playoff run, Trump said, “I think I will attend one of the games.”.
Furthermore, Trump indicated that he planned to attend Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals before New York swept Cleveland in a four-game series.
It is expected that Monday night will be one of the most significant nights in the history of the New York Knicks. For the first time in 27 years, the franchise will host the NBA Finals.
Despite being underdogs against the Spurs at the beginning of the series, the Knicks have won 13 straight games and currently lead the series 2-0. The New York Knicks have not lost a game since April 23.
