RB Leipzig winger Yan Diamonde has been heavily linked with a number of top clubs across Europe. Liverpool went as far as making an offer of up to €100 million for his services – which was swiftly rejected, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid kept an eye on the situation.
Now, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the Ivory Coast international has chosen PSG as his next club, should he leave Leipzig this summer. He has even reached an agreement over a five-year contract with the Champions League holders.
At this point, Liverpool are not expected to bid again, and it seems Real Madrid have withdrawn their interest as well, in the light of Diomande preferring to join PSG.
However, at Leipzig they still insist on keeping Diomande. The Bundesliga club are in a very strong position because the 19-year-old is under contract for four more years, but they would like to persuade him to sign a new deal, one which would see his salary rise to reflect his rise as a player over the past year.
