Derrick Etienne Jr. delivered a stunning finish to an instant classic.

The Toronto FC forward struck a second-half, stoppage-time beauty to salvage a wild 4-4 home draw with Chicago Fire FC in what some are calling the Game of the Year.

Etienne Jr.’s world-class goal earned the Haitian international Energy Moment of the Matchday presented by Celsius honors for Matchday 24.

USMNT striker Josh Sargent was the early hero for the Reds, netting his first career hat trick in a thrilling back-and-forth slugfest with Robert Lewandowski and the Fire. 

The legendary Polish striker appeared to give Chicago all three points by netting the 4-3, go-ahead goal midway through the second half.

But Etienne Jr., who represented Haiti at this summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup, had other plans. His point-saving golazo extended TFC’s unbeaten streak to six straight games, leaving them on the doorstep of an Audi MLS Cup Playoffs spot in the Eastern Conference. 

Etienne Jr. and TFC will look to officially break into the playoff picture on Wednesday when hosting Supporters’ Shield-leading Nashville SC at BMO Field (7:30 pm ET | Apple TV).
