Dave Portnoy insists Barstool still isn’t allowed at Ohio State

Big Noon Kickoff will be on hand in Columbus this weekend for Ohio State’s game against Illinois that will be aired on FOX. Apparently, Barstool founder and owner, Dave Portnoy, will be with the Big Noon crew instead of his show.

That’s because his show, Barstool College Football Show, apparently isn’t allowed on Ohio State’s campus. At least that’s what Portnoy is claiming. Barstool has been traveling around and hosting its own show during pregame festivities. They were on hand at Michigan Stadium when the Wolverines hosted Oklahoma, and Portnoy, who is a big Michigan fan, enjoyed being back in Ann Arbor.

As mentioned, Portnoy is a major Michigan fan. He wears maize and blue and wears the fandom on his sleeves. Going back to 2024, when Michigan beat Ohio State in the ‘Shoe as a massive underdog, Portnoy made sure Buckeye fans knew about it.

Then in 2025, Ohio State hosted Texas in Week 1 and Portnoy planned on heading over for the big game. But as his crew had hotels and plane tickets bought, Portnoy went to social media and claimed they were banned from attending.

“..You banned me,” said Portnoy. “You’re scared of Michigan. And the only way you guys are ever going to compete with us again is if you can look yourselves in the mirror and be honest with yourselves. Not this ‘oh we didn’t do this. They’re stealing signs. Connor Stalions.’

“It’s you guys. It’s not the block M. Until you can look in the mirror and be like take accountability for your actions. ‘Yeah we banned him.’ Just say it. ‘Yeah, we banned him.’ Don’t point the finger. Don’t blame Connor Stalions. Don’t blame the hammer. Just look in the mirror and say ‘we’re weak, we’re soft and until we get better we’re never gonna beat this team.'”

Ohio State AD Ross Bjork refuted that Ohio State banned Portnoy. But now that Portnoy has brought it back up a year later, it will be interesting to see if the Buckeyes ignore the Barstool personality or issue some kind of response.
