Czech Embassy says Nigerians not eligible for 2027/2028 government scholarship

The mission noted that it understood the clarification might disappoint students who had hoped to benefit from the programme.

Prospective students were advised to verify scholarship opportunities through official sources rather than depending on third-party websites or unverified social media posts.

The embassy directed students seeking reliable information about education opportunities in the Czech Republic to consult the relevant Czech government education authorities, including the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Dům zahraniční spolupráce.

It said the clarification was necessary to prevent Nigerian students from beginning applications or making academic plans based on incorrect information about their eligibility.

The embassy thanked Nigerian students for their understanding and wished those seeking international education opportunities success in their academic pursuits.
