Cricket at Asian Games 2026: India squad, schedule, scores and results for men's and women's tournament

The Indian women’s cricket team delivered the country’s first gold medal at Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya on Tuesday.

In a dominant display, India defeated familiar foes Sri Lanka by 147 runs to defend their Asian Games title. After posting a record-breaking 216/3, India skittled Sri Lanka out for 69.

The men’s cricket event at Asian Games 2026 begins on Monday, September 28. They face a tricky opener against Rashid Khan’s Afghanistan.

India made its first appearance at Asian Games cricket in Hangzhou 2022, which was held in 2023, with both teams emerging as winners of the gold medal.
