Jack Rhodes, the CPA catcher and No. 32 player in the class of 2028 by Perfect Game, announced his commitment to Vanderbilt baseball Sept. 27 via Instagram.
Rhodes was also part of the 2022 Nolensville Little League team that advanced to the Little League World Series.
“I’m extremely excited and honored to announce my commitment to continue my academic and baseball career at Vanderbilt University,” Rhodes said in a statement on social media. “Thank you to Coach Corbin and the incredible Vanderbilt coaching staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be part of such a special program.
Rhodes is the Commodores’ third commit in the class of 2028 and its first top-50 recruit. He visited Vanderbilt during the first weekend of the football season.
The 6-3, 190-pound left-handed hitter was named to the Prep Baseball Report All-American team.
The Commodores have focused more on in-state recruiting of late, landing six players from Tennessee in their 2026 freshman class as well as four in-state commits in the 2027 class. Rhodes’ CPA teammate, Bo Holloway, is one of those 2026 freshmen.
