Compilation: Liverpool FC fans on Twitter lose their minds over Florian Wirtz

Remember that summer when Bayern Munich tried to sign Florian Wirtz and failed? He went to Liverpool FC instead. The outcome of that experiment has left FCB fans cackling while scousers wonder where it all went wrong.

A short lesson on how Twitter works. You are shown things based on how much you interact with them. So when I happened to like a Wirtz tweet that randomly appeared on my feed, my For You page was suddenly flooded with lamentations from LFC fans in the aftermath of their draw to Newcastle.

There were honestly so many that I decided to compile them into one article and present it to my fellow FC Bayern fans to enjoy and ridicule. There is no greater pleasure in football than watching someone else suffer, and suffering is what these Pool fans feel.

Behold, the team that “won” the 2025 summer transfer market.

<

Okay, harsh, but it gets worse. A Manchester United fan chimes in.

<

Getting mocked by the fans of a banter club during their Century of Humiliation is a special kind of nightmare. Many Liverpool fans are beginning to regret the transfer ever happened.

<

Some are questioning their reality. What did LFC see in him? What did Bayern see in him?

<

He was more than “just there” for Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso knew how to unlock Wirtz. After how things went down in the World Cup, the Spaniard may be the only one who does.

<

They are saying he doesn’t have aura.

<

Some wonder where the impact is supposed to be.

<

<

<

The numbers back it up, unfortunately.

<

Is Adoni Iraola already starting to hit a roadblock?

<

Some have already passed the first four stages of grief.

<

Hey! Remember when Liverpool wasted their money on TWO useless players?

<

It all goes back to that 2025 summer window. Remember how upset Bayern fans were? Oh how the tables turn.

<

Some think he would have done better at Bayern.

<

Ignoring the fact that Alexander Isak cost MORE money and is arguably an even bigger flop. Is Newcastle United suddenly a Bundesliga team? They would finish below Augsburg.

<

Some fans actually remember how good Wirtz was at Leverkusen.

<

Meanwhile, this tweet didn’t have many likes but it was too hilarious to not include.

<

Coutinho, the guy FC Bayern fans couldn’t stand, who cost an arm and a leg and did nothing except against the worst teams in the league. Of course, the fact that a former PL player flopped in the Bundesliga is not suitable for the narrative. Let’s move on.

<

So which one is it? Toxic positivity or an overreaction? There were not many tweets defending Wirtz, but even the ones who did were lukewarm. Meanwhile, some his strongest soldiers have given up.

<

Anger, naturally, ends up targeted at the club leadership.

<

<

Certainly most Bundesliga teams play faster football than Liverpool right now. Everything comes full circle.

<

Hope you enjoyed that! My For You page is ruined forever now, hope it was worth it.
