Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Indianapolis Colts’ full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is tight end Sean McKeon, who wears No. 49.

McKeon was released by Detroit during roster cutdowns in August of 2024. He was then signed to the Colts’ practice squad a few days later, where he spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
The Colts elevated McKeon to the game day roster for their Week 18 matchup against Houston. He would play eight snaps on offense and six on special teams. McKeon did not log any stats.
Tyler Warren, Mo Alie-Cox, and Drew Ogletree will make up the top of the Colts’ tight end depth chart. If McKeon is going to make the team, he’ll have to beat out Will Mallory for that fourth spot.
The potential challenge is that McKeon has primarily been utilized as a blocker during his NFL career, and with Alie-Cox and Ogletree, the Colts already have that skill set on the roster. Mallory, meanwhile, is more of a pass-catching threat, which allows him to differentiate himself from Alie-Cox, Ogletree, and McKeon.
