The Colorado Buffaloes‘ nonconference schedule comes to an end in Week 3 with a road test against the Big Ten’s Northwestern Wildcats.

Colorado is 2-0 after a dominant offensive performance against Weber State, where the Buffaloes put up 52 points, and quarterback Julian Lewis threw for four touchdowns. Northwestern, meanwhile, has played only one game, and if not for South Dakota State settling for four field goals, the Wildcats would have been on the brink of an upset.

The wet weather in Evanston will be a factor, but both teams boast strong rushing attacks that will look to control the line of scrimmage. The team that runs the ball more efficiently will be in the driver’s seat for the win. Colorado has shown in two games that it’s built to handle a sloppy game.
