Chiefs Announce Team Decision Ahead of NFL Honor

The Kansas City Chiefs announced their decision to nominate team legend Kendall Gammon for a prestigious award. They posted a graphic on social media on Thursday.

He played for the franchise from 2000 to 2006 and enjoyed his best NFL season in 2004, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2004. The former long snapper and center entered the league as the No. 291 overall pick in the 11th round in 1992. He starred for Pittsburgh State during his collegiate career, winning the D-II national championship in 1991. Gammon spent 15 years as a pro and outplayed his draft status.

The Kansas native also served as an on-air talent of Chiefs Radio Network from 2008 to 2010. He then became a color analyst following the retirement of his fellow Chiefs legend, Len Dawson.
