Seeing the Chicago Bears in the national spotlight is going to take some getting used to, but after decades of mostly irrelevance as a franchise, the Bears seem to have the two most important pieces of the puzzle figured out. Head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams have the club’s trajectory heading upwards.
The Bears are coming off a successful season that fell short of their ultimate goal, but considering the state of the team, the offseason hype is warranted. And that offseason hype has been triggering to fans of other NFC North teams. The jealousy, anger, and AI-generated pics have been non-stop on social media, so the latest Madden 27 trailer is sure to piss them off even more.
Check out cover athlete Williams, some fresh new gameplay, and plenty of cameos in this fun 4:23.

Williams was in Chicago at Navy Pier tonight for the EA Sports Opening Drive, where the trailer was revealed, and he stuck around to talk with the media.

Caleb Williams had a lot of input on these Madden covers, but he told me tonight he’s also working on the soundtrack and hopes the music complements the covers well. 👀 https://t.co/T0ivk6qrKX

After we wrapped speaking with Caleb Williams a few minutes ago, a fan at the Madden event asked Williams whether he’d break the Madden curse.
Williams pointed at the person and said “damn right” before walking off.

Caleb was also a guest on ESPN’s SportsCenter earlier today, and he talked about the game and a whole bunch more.

If a product launch for a video game garners this much breathless coverage in Chicago, what’ll happen when Caleb Williams actually takes the Bears to the Super Bowl?
