Charlotte Bobcats jersey history No. 1 Derek Anderson 2006-2008

After Ryan Hollins, veteran guard Derek Anderson was the next to wear the No. 1 (he wore No. 23 in his first season with the Bobcats) in Charlotte Hornets franchise history. Like Hollins, Anderson did so for the Bobcats, spending two seasons in Charlotte after he won a championship with the Miami Heat and was subsequently waived. Anderson latched on with the Bobcats for 78 appearances over two seasons, the final two years of his 11-year career.

In those appearances, Anderson was a serviceable backup guard in limited minutes, averaging 6.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.8 steals. His strongest campaign came during the 1999-2000 season with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he averaged 16.9 points, four rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals. In 615 NBA appearances, the former NCAA champion with Kentucky averaged 12 points, 3.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
