Arsenal’s additions ahead of the new season continued on Monday after the Gunners announced the arrival of Hoffenheim striker Selina Cerci on a free transfer.
Cerci, who has spent her entire career in the Frauen-Bundesliga, has reportedly put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with the option of a further year.
The 26-year-old began her career with prolific spells at Werder Bremen and Turbine Potsdam before sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in March 2022.
She would go on to miss the Women’s Euros that year and the Women’s World Cup 12 months later, but returned to form with Hoffenheim after joining from Koln.
Cerci registered 44 goal contributions (32 goals, 12 assists) in 43 league appearances for the club, and she is now relishing the chance to shine in the Women’s Super League.
“I’m very excited to be here – it’s a big honour to play for Arsenal and I can’t wait to start,” Cerci told the club’s official website.
“This is an opportunity to compete against and play alongside top players in one of the best leagues in the world.
“I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and walking out at Emirates Stadium in front of all our supporters.”

Cerci scored 16 goals for Hoffenheim as they finished fourth in the Frauen-Bundesliga last campaign, just missing out on a spot for the second qualifying round of the Women’s Champions League.
Only Klara Buhl (14) managed more assists in the top flight in 2025-26 than Cerci’s nine, which was level with new Arsenal team-mate Georgia Stanway, who made the move to North London from Bayern Munich last week.
Cerci’s arrival will help fill the void left by Beth Mead’s departure to WSL champions Manchester City earlier this summer.
“I’m so pleased that Selina will be joining our group,” Arsenal boss Renee Slegers said of Cerci’s arrival.
“She has impressive goalscoring numbers and brings good presence, physicality and forward intent.
“Combined with her strong work ethic, we feel these qualities make her a great addition to our squad.”
