Cardinals trading WR Marvin Harrison Jr, should Raiders put in bid?

The move that has looked to be a foregone conclusion over the past few weeks seems to be on the brink of happening. The Cardinals are looking to trade WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Multiple reports have the team actively looking for teams to jump into the fray for the former number four overall pick. And with the Raiders‘ need at the position, they would seem like one of the teams who could make sense as a partner.

The Cardinals are getting trade calls on WR Marvin Harrison Jr., but he won’t come cheap: League sources say Arizona would want a second-round pick and more to consider dealing the former No. 4 pick.

Harrison will be inactive on Sunday with the expectations he will be traded. The thing is, the team has yet to decide where to trade him, as they are asking teams to jump in to the fray in order to find the best deal.

Reports are suggesting they want a second round pick, either in 2027 or 2028 plus additional compensation.

The only team that has been mentioned as being in the mix is the Texans where Harrison would be reunited with his college QB CJ Stroud. But no other teams have been reported.

Until the trade happens, any team could enter the conversation. If you’ll recall, it looked like Maxx Crosby was headed to Dallas until the Ravens jumped in and made them a better offer and suddenly he was headed ot Baltimore (until he wasn’t, but that’s another story).

He was an elite college prospect. A 6-3 receiver with Hall of Fame bloodlines who would potentially solve the Raiders need for an X receiver. And the Raiders have bigger problems at the position than that. He has the rest of this season and

He has not lived up to his draft position over his first two seasons in the league. He had decent rookie numbers of 885 yards and eight TDs, but didn’t have the second-year jump. And he has been dogging it this season, making it clear he wants out. While he wouldn’t be available if he wasn’t forcing his way out of Arizona, that attitude doesn’t really fit with the culture the new regime in Las Vegas has been instilling. And they’d lose a second round pick and more while trying to rebuild.
