Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill bestows hotel room to bride-to-be who inquired about ‘dream wedding suite’

It’s midsummer. The NFL season is still months away. But it’s never too early for a Hail Mary. Just ask Liv Coppeletti, a bride-to-be who just landed her “dream wedding suite” by emailing the Arizona Cardinals.

As Coppeletti chronicled in a TikTok video — which, on that social media platform alone, already has 2.1 million views in less than 24 hours — she had been eyeing a presidential suite at a hotel that she learned is contractually obligated to reserve rooms for visiting NFL teams playing at MetLife Stadium.

Coppeletti wrote in her now-viral email that the hotel is directly across the street from Battello, where she and her fiancé are getting married in Jersey City on Oct. 4. That’s the same day the Arizona Cardinals are scheduled to face the New York Giants on the road, though.

So that’s why Coppeletti drafted a polite yet ambitious email to the Cardinals. Actually, she addressed it to first-year head coach Mike LaFleur.

“I realize there is approximately a 99.9% chance this email never reaches you, and even smaller chance that if it does, you have an ability (or desire) to help me,” she wrote. “But as a bride who has exhausted all conventional options, I have decided to take my chances.”

She went on to explain that, for months, she had her heart set on renting the hotel’s presidential suite, an idyllic spot for her and bridesmaids to prepare for her big day.

“In other words, Coach, you have unknowingly become the final obstacle standing between me and my dream wedding suite,” Coppeletti wrote.

She added: “If you are not planning to use that suite on Sunday, Oct. 4, would you consider letting a desperate bride have a chance to book it?”

She included a disclaimer, humorously noting that she fully understands “that football is more important” than her wedding morning.

“The Cardinals have a game to win. I have hair and makeup to get done. Different priorities,” she joked.

Mark Dalton, Cardinals senior VP of media relations, responded to Coppeletti’s email, asking if she could pass along a phone number he could reach her at. One thing led to another, and Coppeletti wound up getting the presidential suite, which was originally reserved not for LaFleur but for Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill.

Bidwill even sent Coppeletti a personal video, in which he shared the twist.

“Your email, which I absolutely loved, made its way to me,” Bidwill said. “I looked into it. The situation’s a little complicated. The suite you requested wasn’t reserved for the coach of the Cardinals but rather the owner of the Cardinals. The good news is, that’s me. And I’m happy to give it up to you and your bridesmaids to use during your wedding weekend.

“Congrats and enjoy your special day.”

Bidwill’s good deed is affording the Cardinals some much-needed positive fanfare. They’re coming off a 3-14 season and are entering the 2026 campaign with a precarious quarterback situation. Plus, Bidwill has been far from a fan favorite in recent years, as reports have detailed toxicity and dysfunction within the organization.

Coppeletti’s video makes for a nice reprieve. She even included in her inquiry email that she’ll be cheering for the Cardinals to beat the Giants and for two-time Pro Bowl tight end Trey McBride in particular.

“My fiancé said something about ‘let’s go, Trey McBride,'” she wrote. “I don’t know who he is, but I’m rooting for him.”
