Cardiff City are set to sign midfielder Jack Moylan from Championship rivals Lincoln City.
The 24-year-old was a key figure in the Imps’ promotion to the Championship, scoring 11 goals and made providing six assists as they beat the Bluebirds to the League One title.
Moylan’s impressive campaign led to a first call up to the Republic of Ireland national team, in which he scored a hat-trick on debut in a 5-0 win against Grenada.
The former Bohemians and Shelbourne player will link up with Cardiff boss and fellow Irishman Brian Barry-Murphy.
Moylan would be the Bluebirds second summer recruit after Nathan Trott was signed in May.
The Bluebirds defeated Italian giants Roma 4-1 last time out and are preparing to host Swindon Town in the first round of the EFL Cup on Saturday, 8 August (15:00 BST).
Their league campaign begins against Welsh rival Wrexham at Cardiff City Stadium on Monday, 17 August (20:00 BST).
