Cam Young shot a sensational second-round 62 at the Tour Championship on Friday.
Young began the Tour Championship slowly with a round of 70 on day one.
However, the 29-year-old from New York bounced back in tremendous fashion, making seven birdies, an eagle, and just one bogey on day two at East Lake.
Cam Young has enjoyed a really successful 2026 season on the PGA Tour, with two wins to his name, including The Players Championship.

A victory at the Tour Championship this week would be the icing on the cake for Young.
Cam Young is still in the race to win the Player of the Year award, but he probably needs a win at East Lake to make that happen.
As things stand, he will have a good chance of doing just that.
Young addressed the media at East Lake after his sparkling second-round 62 on Friday.
He responded when asked what it was like to play on the PGA Tour on his own for the first time in his career.
“It’s a bit strange,“ Young admitted.
“I’ve never done it before. Yeah, once you kind of get over the fact that they just announced one person on the 1st hole, it’s kind of more like a practice round.

“We play a lot of practice rounds just on my own. Yeah, I felt like, especially with it going well, it was really easy to keep going.
“You don’t have to wait. You don’t have to wait for anybody else. Nothing weird happens. Just got in a really nice rhythm and kept going.“
He was then asked whether it was more difficult to remain patient while out there on his own.
“No, no, it makes it easier because you’re not waiting on anybody,“ Young insisted.
“You kind of just like — you just keep going. You don’t do anything that isn’t at your own pace. You’re never waiting. You’re never rushing. In that sense, it’s pretty nice.“
Every single department of Cam Young’s game was in fine working order on Friday afternoon at East Lake.
He ranked 1st in both strokes gained off the tee and strokes gained putting.
Young ranked 2nd in strokes gained approach and 9th in strokes gained around the green.
In total, the three-time PGA Tour winner gained 4.209 strokes on the field at East Lake in his second round.
If Cam Young keeps up that kind of form over the weekend, he will have a great chance of winning the Tour Championship.
