Ever since she arrived on the scene at Iowa, Caitlin Clark has been a box office attraction. Now three years in to her WNBA career, that fact hasn’t changed.
Clark and the Indiana Fever have smashed WNBA viewership records over the past few years. Basketball fans have fallen in love with Indiana’s young and talented squad, led by the former Hawkeye superstar. Even those who aren’t Fever fans tune in to see the Clark show.
That was apparent once again in Indiana’s most recent prime-time matchup.

The Fever took on the New York Liberty Saturday night in a CBS prime-time showdown. Two teams with championship aspirations and superstars everywhere are usually a recipe for ratings success. The ratings for the game didn’t just succeed: They thrived.
The Nielsen reports showed that the game averaged 2.56 million viewers, peaking at 3.02 million. It was the third-largest WNBA audience since 2000, trailing the Fever and Sky from last season (2.70 million) and the 2024 WNBA All-Star game (3.44 million). All three of those games involved Clark, showcasing her impact on the sports ratings year after year.
In that same Sports Media Watch article, writer Jon Lewis shared an incredible stat that continues to show Clark’s star power. The 11 largest WNBA audiences since 2001 have all featured Clark in some capacity. Nine Fever games, the 2024 All-Star game, and the 2024 WNBA Draft make up that number.
As long as Clark and the Fever are lighting up the scoreboard, the WNBA’s ratings for their games will continue to skyrocket. Indiana will be in action again on Thursday night against the Sky. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on Amazon Prime Video.
