Bryson DeChambeau’s week at LIV Golf New York was a really disappointing one in the end.
DeChambeau met President Donald Trump on the 18th green after his final round at LIV Golf New York.
The 32-year-old finished on seven-over par for the week in a tie for 38th, and his result meant that Jon Rahm won the season-long title race.
Bryson DeChambeau has won twice on LIV Golf this season, but he still hasn’t been able to keep pace with Rahm.
DeChambeau cut a frustrated figure on the golf course during LIV Golf New York, and it was clear to see he was struggling with his game.
His flat performance this week in New York was very un-Bryson-like. However, his Crushers did win the team event, so that was certainly a consolation for him.
And speaking with his good friend President Donald Trump after the round would have perked him up as well.

DeChambeau addressed the media after his disappointing week in New York came to an end on Sunday evening.
The American enjoyed a lengthy conversation with Trump after finishing out on the 18th green.
The LIV Golf star was asked by one journalist what the President said to him during that conversation.
“He just congratulated us and said that was fantastic golf,“ DeChambeau replied.
“I told him how tough his golf course is. I got my butt kicked this week, that’s for sure.
“That was really all we talked about. Whenever we go to the properties, they’ve been great to us. The hospitality is amazing. They treat us well. All their staff are amazing.“
The golf course at Trump Bedminster was incredibly difficult this week, and it certainly got the better of DeChambeau.

DeChambeau told reporters that the US President was really impressed by Joaquin Niemann’s performance on his golf course at Trump Bedminster.
“All positive things to say, and we just appreciated it and thanked him. Then he said, great job and congratulations,“ DeChambeau said.
“He was supportive of it, and then obviously supportive of Joaquín and how well he did on his golf course.
“He was really impressed with Joaquin, that’s for sure.“
It’s hard not to be impressed by what Joaquin Niemann did at LIV Golf New York this week, especially considering how difficult Bryson DeChambeau said the golf course was.
The Chilean finished on 16-under par – a full 23 strokes ahead of DeChambeau! That is some effort around what is an incredibly challenging layout.
