Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes turned down a big-money offer from the Saudi Pro League during this summer’s World Cup.
The 31-year-old previously rejected mega wages from Al-Hilal last year.
This time, the Pro League itself made an approach to lure the experienced midfielder away from United.
According to Sunday Mirror, the salary on offer was a whopping £640k-a-week tax free over four years, with the total adding up to an astronomical £133m.
Fernandes once again demonstrated his commitment to United by rejecting the lucrative proposal.
The Portuguese has a year left on his current contract at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils having an option to extend by another 12 months.
Fernandes has been United’s best signing since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
He has been a consistent performer over the years. In 328 total appearances, the attacking midfielder has scored 107 goals and provided 108 assists.
Fernandes recently won the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award after an excellent 2025-26 season.
He registered 21 assists in the Premier League last season to break the previous record of 20 jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
Fernandes struggled to create chances and influence the game against Hull City, who claimed a shocking 2-0 victory last weekend.
The Portugal international will look to bounce back on Sunday when his team welcome Ipswich Town to Old Trafford on Sunday.
