The 22-year-old outfielder continued his torrid World Series, going 4-for-5 and pacing the Brewers’ 10-1 rout of the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Milwaukee’s leadoff man doubled, scored two runs, drove in one and stole a base, doing a little bit of everything.
In the process, Chourio became the youngest player with four hits in a World Series game since Joe Garagiola, who went 4-for-5 in Game 4 of the 1946 World Series as a 20-year-old rookie catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. He’s the fifth-youngest player with at least four hits in a World Series game in MLB history.
