Brewers' social media flips out after William Contreras' bat flip

William Contreras’ walk-off home run in the bottom of the travelled 399 feet. But the bat that helped provide the distance on Contreras thrilling game-winner may not have landed yet. ‘

After Contreras’ three-run shot in the ninth inning gave the Brewers a third straight come-from-behind victory over the Miami Marlins, Contreras celebrated the three-game series sweep with by hurling his piece of lumber towards the sky before circling the bases. It was a memorable bat flip that any caber-toss competitor would have been proud of.

It was the second walk-off homer for Contreras who entered the game in the seventh inning as a pinch-hitter. It was the 10th homer of the season for the Brewers’ all-star catcher.

And while the proper launch angle won the game, fans on social media more more impressed the takeoff of Contreras’ bat after the ball had cleared the fence.
