Brentwood Academy defensive back Romel Koon has announced where he’ll continue his career at the next level.
Koon revealed his commitment to Tulsa football and coach Tre Lamb in a social media post on July 5.
Koon is the No. 46-ranked Class of 2027 recruit in the state of Tennessee and the No. 112 cornerback nationally in the 247Sports Composite. Along with Tulsa, the three-star DB’s offer sheet included Virginia Tech, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Memphis.

Last season Koon was a fixture in an Eagles’ secondary which helped hold seven opponents to a touchdown or less in 2025.
He recorded 42 total tackles, three for a loss, six pass break ups and a forced fumble as Brentwood Academy went 11-1, finishing state runner-up to Baylor. His 36 solo tackles led all Brentwood Academy defensive players.
