Brentford complete free transfer of Callum Wilson

Brentford have completed the signing of experienced striker Callum Wilson on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at West Ham.

The 34-year-old has signed a one-year deal and arrives in west London to strengthen Keith Andrews‘ attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

Wilson will provide competition for Brazilian forward Igor Thiago after leaving the Hammers following their relegation to the Championship.

Despite West Ham‘s difficult campaign, the former England international still impressed in front of goal, scoring seven times and registering one assist in 35 appearances across all competitions. 

Capped nine times by England, Wilson brings a wealth of top-flight experience to the Bees and sits just five goals shy of reaching 100 in the Premier League.
